It is a two-week summer school project funded by the European Commision with DAAD - the German Academic Exchange Service - as the national agency. It is an interdisciplinary and international learning initiative co-offered by the University of Applied Management (UAM), Germany, the Riga Teacher Training and Education Management Academy (RPIVA), Latvia, the University of Cadiz (UCA), Spain, the University of Birmingham (UB), England and the Jagiellonian University (JU), Poland.

The summer school will be conducted in English.

The EMCI summer school 2014 will be held from 10 – 23 August, 2014 in Treuchtlingen, Germany. Up to 48 students from the above mentioned participating universities will be accepted to this program. Students who successfully complete the required assignments of the summer school will be granted an EMCI Summer School Certificate. The EMCI participants who are highly interested in this topic will have the possibility to be selected to the international Master Program in Creativity & Innovation to be offered by UAM and its international partners. In this case, your participation in the summer school will be recognized by the Master program consortium by acknowledging 4 ECTS credit points of the compatible modules.

Participation in the EMCI is free of charge to all selected participants. Each selected participant will receive a daily allowance compatible to the EU standards, which will largely cover the costs of accommodation at the venue. The only cost at the participants' expense is 10% of their travelling costs.

Initiative students who are resourceful, interested in the topic of creativity and innovation and who have a plan to pursue a Master program in Creativity and Innovation are more than welcome to submit their applications!
